Installation process of new energy charging piles

Car charging stations are specialized equipment that provide charging services for electric vehicles and can be installed in homes, residential areas, public places, and other places. Installing car charging stations requires following certain processes and requirements: determining installation conditions, submitting applications and reviewing materials, installation construction, and acceptance.
1、 Determine installation conditions
Before installing a car charging station, it is necessary to determine whether you have the installation conditions, including the following points:
1. Is there a fixed parking space for placing charging station equipment and connecting power lines.
2. Is it possible to connect to the national power grid lines or commercial electricity in the community to provide stable power supply.
3. Do you have the consent and support of the property management to coordinate installation, construction, and management costs.
4. Do you understand the types and power of charging stations in order to select suitable charging station equipment and installation plans.
2、 Submit application and review materials
If the installation conditions are met, an application can be submitted to the charging pile manufacturer or power supply company, and the following materials need to be provided:
1. Copy of ID card to prove that you are the owner or user of the parking space.
2. Confirmation of charging conditions for new energy vehicles, proving ownership or use of a new energy vehicle.
3. The property agrees to install a certificate, which proves that the property allows the installation of charging station equipment and wiring in the parking space.
4. Parking space certification, proving the location and area of the parking space, in order to determine the installation plan and construction difficulty.
After submitting the application, it is necessary to wait for the charging pile manufacturer or power supply company to review the materials, which usually takes about 7 working days. After the review is approved, the power supply plan and quotation will be provided.
3、 Installation, construction, and acceptance
After determining the power supply plan and quotation, installation and construction can proceed. According to the installation location and charging pile type, it can be roughly divided into the following steps:
1. To fix the charging station equipment, you can choose to fix it on the wall with expansion screws or place it on the ground, paying attention to keeping it horizontal and vertical.
2. Connect the power cord to the corresponding terminal block according to the principle of left zero and right fire. Pay attention to the length of the power cord and leave enough margin for later maintenance and use.
3. Connect the charging gun and insert it into the vehicle's charging port, ensuring a secure connection. Be careful not to tighten or loosen the cable of the charging gun.
4. Install an electric meter. The power supply company will install a dedicated meter to measure the electricity consumption and cost of the charging station. Please note that the meter should be installed near the charging station for easy meter reading and inspection.
5. If the acceptance is qualified, the power supply company or charging pile manufacturer shall conduct acceptance to check the function and safety of the charging pile. After passing the acceptance, the electric meter shall be sealed, the corresponding electric card shall be made, and delivered to the user.
6. Installation and construction generally take about 3 working days. After passing the acceptance inspection, the charging station can be used to charge the vehicle.
4、 Precautions
During the use of charging stations, the following points should also be noted:
1. Regularly inspect the appearance and wiring of the charging station, and promptly repair or replace any damaged or loose parts to avoid accidents such as electric shock or fire.
2. Follow the usage rules and prompts of the charging station, do not plug or unplug the charging gun at will, do not start the vehicle during the charging process, and do not store flammable and explosive materials near the charging station.
3. Reasonably arrange the charging time and method, try to avoid charging during peak hours and high temperature weather, choose the appropriate charging mode and power level to extend the battery life and efficiency.
4. Pay attention to the cost and management of charging stations, pay the electricity and management fees on time, keep the charging stations clean and tidy, and respect the rights and needs of other users.
